The painting that I started this afternoon.

Great day at Red Mountain.

A great day so far. Morning hike was about 4.5 miles, some climbing, the pictures will tell the story. Back to Red Mtn. for a 50min stretching class. Then I had a consult on foot health followed by lunch on the patio. Hand and foot treatment with MELT balls, it could be another toy that I need. Spent nearly two hours on a painting outside my room, perfect spot.

Now I have to get ready for dinner. Hope that you like the pictures.

We climbed to the highest peak here.

Monday drive to the resort.

It was a fun drive this morning. I drove off highway to see the Lost City Museum, it was closed ; but I did get to see a good looking rooster and some cows!

I checked into the Red Mountain Resort, great room with a view across the lave field to mountains on the other side. Did a great stretching class this afternoon. It’s the challenge hike in the morning for me.

I will add pictures but don’t seem to be able to place them where I want them, so they will be wherever they choose to be.

Not far to drive today.

Breakfast at IHOP, what a deal  to pick from the SENIOR MENU!!!  I will be on the road around 8am.

Getting ready to leave.

Packing my things today and loading the car ready for my drive towards Utah tomorrow.
I will probably stop in Barstow on Sunday night, home of the World’s tallest thermometer.
Monday: check into the Red Mountain Resort for three days.
Move into Rob and Tamara’s house in St. George on Thursday.
Saturday is the day that Iain runs in the St. George Marathon; there will be a lot of family there.
I have my golf clubs, walking shoes and paints with me so I have choices of what I want to do until Wednesday; that’s when I drive to Provo to stay with the kids.
Leave there on Monday and head towards home, not sure which way yet.

FYI: The posts below this are old from 2009.

We're Doing Well

Deana seems to be very lucky in that she has been having far less pain than we had been prepared for. She's getting more mobile and does not need my help anymore for standing and using her walker. We had our first PT appointment today (they come here for a few weeks, which is nice) and the therapist seemed impressed with D's status.

Now we have plans set for the next few days - exercises and treatments in the morning, then visitor time, if you would like to call or come by, in the afternoon. She does not need to rest in the day anymore, so call our land line with no worries about waking her.

D is also able to sit with her lap top, so if you email, she'll be glad to hear from you.

So, looks like I won't be posting for a while - let's hope next time I do, the "Where's Deana" blog will be updates of one of her road trips. No more surgery!
