Got back home last night. Now I have to get over jet lag. It was a great trip and it was good to see everyone. Thank you everyone for the good time.

Bank Holiday Monday. Roger and Joy picked me up this morning and we went on a mystery tour to my hotel near the airport. We visited Aylesbury and Henley on Thames on the way.

Local flint stone.

Saturday. Today we went to Salcey Forest with the family. It was a very nice walk in the trees. Then we had a tasty lunch which included some cream tea. Then we did a walk up to the tree tops. After that we stopped in Olney to look around the shops. Then we walked down to the local field to watch the village cricket and lawn bowling matches. It is sad that the tennis courts are empty and they could be playing PICKLEBALL! Now we are home for a roast beef dinner! Lucky us.

Friday. I started today walking round Leeds on my own; there are many beautiful buildings. At lunch time I met Claire who is moving her Leeds School of Music library into a brand new building, a big job.. We had a pub lunch at The Wardrobe and then we walked to Leeds University for a presentation by Phoebe and the Leeds North Orchestra. Phoebe plays the oboe; each child had a chance to work with a professional orchestra player all week and then perform with the full orchestra on Friday. It was a great performance and good to see how much enjoyment there was on both sides from working together. Then we drove to Sharnbrook and thank Margaret for a great dinner that was waiting for us.
